TEACHING & LEARNING CASE STUDIES

Video recorded by Emma Geoghegan

Developing good teaching practice is often a matter of time, experience, reflection and iteration. ARCH4CHANGE recognises that to achieve change in architectural education we need to pay critical attention to teaching methods and approaches and identify, through the collaborative and learned experience of educators, the most effective means of educating in a climate emergency. The Teaching Case Studies presented here have been selected as examples from the partner institutions which employ best practice pedagogical principles, have been refined and developed over time and have been demonstrated to effectively teach students about Sustainable Architecture. Each Case Study includes a description of the method, learning outcomes, pedagogy and educator reflections and potential application to the ARCH4CHANGE themes.
